Welcome to Paws4Laws! We have launched a nationwide project to help you communicate with your
local legislators about anti-canine legislation.
Issues include proposals concerning: mandatory spay
and neuter, guardianship, ear/tail docking, breed-specific legislation, and home insurance. These
proposals have the potential to negatively impact your life as a dog owner, exhibitor, competitor,
or pet owner. Your immediate participation in the following campaigns is essential, as a discussion
or vote on these issues is imminent.
Our current campaigns include the following:
Cudahy, Wisconsin
- Cudahy, WI is considering a breed ban.
A meeting of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance committed has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2008.
This is the committee that will determine the revisions to the city's dog ordinance and could vote it in during this meeting.
Mosinee, Wisconsin
- The city of Mosinee, Wisconsin is consider a breed specific ordinance. City Administrator, Jeff Gates is making additional amendments for submission to the full Council.
Meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of every month at 7:30p.m.

Volusia County, Florida
- The County Council of Volusia County, FL is proposing a mandatory spay/neuter ordinance, requiring that all dogs (and cats) over 6 months of age be spayed/neutered. On May 1, the county council approved, in principle, a draft ordinance. June 5 has been set as the date for the vote on the new law.
